I don’t understand how this is embarrassing to Pope Francis. As a non-Catholic I have been surprised at how open he appears to be. It would seem that this sort of investigation would signal his willingness to confront some of the corruption that has plagued the Catholic church for more than 1000 years.

I don’t understand why the Church will not clean all this up. Straighten out the money. Prosecute all the predator clergy. Get on with the Lord’s work. What is holding them up? Fear? Fear is the opposite of faith.

This should not be a surprise. When one lies about abusing children how and why does people believe anything coming from the pope and his minions. People are stupid just as they are in this country about the lies and cover ups this government does..

All they want is total control and power. The first vatican council created / supported the idea of Infallibility re the pope in 1870. So he became a dictator of Immorality.
