Welcome to National Explosives worship day. Anybody in the US can easily get explosives, all year long – not just July 4. I barely go two days without hearing M80′s, Blockbusters or large Aerials going off, by individuals not some civic group. The laws that make fireworks (small bombs) legal are just a joke.

Eventually, Americans will realize that we haven’t had a representative government since 1860, when big business got Lincoln into office and then declared war on the States. Free market capitalism died at the same time, we just didn’t realize it until 1913 when the Bankster cartel formally took over the government’s monopoly on power and money. We’ve had a fascist dictatorship since then and your vote has meant exactly squat. The only way to return to a Jeffersonian Representative Republic is the way our Founders did it in 1775.

That won’t happen until people realize that it’s not up to Boner, or Cruz or anyone else in government. It won’t happen until the American people realize they have to take matters into their own hands and create their own future, just like our Founder did.

I thought the attack of the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya was the biggest attack on US soil, because there were thousands of attackers. The mere fact that US news media didn’t report it, then denied it during the presidential campaign debates notwithstanding. There’s also evidence and reports that that the Boston bombing was a much larger conspiracy – possibly involving elements of the US federal government – like the “Fast and Furious” scandal. And we know that US political groups use emergencies and crises to enhance political power. As such, US citizens should not concern themselves with domestic terrorism because our very own federal government is a far more serious threat. Why didn’t Goldberg acknowledge that Obama has – essentially – condemned the 4th of July and renounced the American declaration of independence? Why no mention of that?

Is that to ensure that no one says anything that denigrates the US Gestapo?

So much for “The Land of the Free”………the US seems to be morphing into a gigantic concentration camp! The fences along the Mexican border etc are NOT to keep immigrants out..they’re to keep the US peasants IN!

Though it’s not so hot in the the UK (aka 51st State) we have our own Overlords – aka 4th Reich run by Germany.

Candide08 – You are a moron. Laws don’t “legalize” anything. Laws only make things illegal. Where fireworks are legal are places libs like you haven’t come along and made them illegal by taking away liberties. People who want to blow things up don’t use fireworks and certainly don’t care what the law says. Making fireworks illegal only affects the law abiding. It’s stupid except for in cases where there are high chances wildfires, so statewide laws outlawing them are also pretty stupid in most cases and it should be left to cities and counties.

Why do Americans need the watchful eyes of police all over the nation if this massive NSA surveillance system is supposed to be looking out for them? The rationale for this intrusive practice is to protect Americans from terrorists but it doesn’t seem to be working very well.

Terrorism still manages to show up whenever people need to be frightened again and the skeptics quieted down, and it’s always a bit of a mystery of how the bad guys manage to get past the eyes of the most powerful surveillance system on earth. Inquiries into this are called “conspiracy theories” and regarded as vaguely subversive.

Fear, whether or terrorists, climate change or any other bogeyman is a powerful manipulator. It is a more effective way to govern than democratic processes and has an enormous potential to lead to a form of rule by police, usually referred to as a police state. Whenever people uncritically trust “authorities” this danger exists.
