I have yet to use Twitter but am on Facebook and Google+ frequently, LinkedIn occasionally and I keep getting emails to “come back” to MySpace.

Social sites are just going to be like virtual night clubs… One minute the cool kids are there, then they’re onto something else eventually. Has happened to every web community that’s existed. They have no true substance, other than being able to say people are there. Once the people leave, it’s worthless. Not exactly the greatest things to invest in.

The author fails to mention that Twitter’s growth rate is double Facebook. I personally think FB is dying and that Twitter working with Comcast and Apple will be here in 10 years. There is just too much news and media available @ Twitter to ignore. I’m going to bet whoever wrote this is white, over 50, and male. ;)

Linkedin is the worst social network ever. I don’t even know why I let myself get pushed to make one. There’s no real activity there and adding people feels even more awkward than on Facebook which is more social than professional.

@Matt8260 Totally agree. FB numbers are inflated by fake accounts and people who log on once. Left FB over a year ago and transitioned to Twitter and never looked back.
