The U.S. is to biased toward Israel to do any peace talks.
They would leave hundreds of prioners in jew jails, leave settlements, give jeruseleum to the jews. and preven return of Palestinians driven out in 49.

Kerry’s only there to observe the offensive missile tests which are intended to show Israels preference for war… fought and funded by the US.

Palestinian protesters demand their own state to screw up.

“South Sudan and Central African Republic are melting down…. why can’t WE have that?”

Islamists ruin what ever place they are in. Stamp them out, then become a country.

Gany, you have no understanding of whats going on…” give jerusalem to the jews” Jews created Jerusalem and Israel annexed it years ago. The Paliestinians are not even trying to steal all of Jerusalem just the east suburbs, which is just something that they recently made up to insure that there can not be peace. No country would ever split its capitol to let another country have half. And the arabs have said that no jew would be allowed to return to their land within a paliestine country if one is ever created so why would Israel let them. They are even now only protesting because they think peace might be coming( as unlikely as it may be) and then they would have to get jobs and stop killing Israeli Children

McCain lost the Presidential election because people did not believe he was capable. The entire premise of our relationship with Israel is wrong. It is Israel’s current government that has insulted and embarrassed the United States. I would like to hear the Israeli government pledge its support of US policies, and say that the US is a great and important ally and so on.
Why is it always on the US to keep saying this?

I hope that beneath this saber-rattling, leaders could emerge to create a path to move forward. Palestinians could not be deaf and blind to the reality of their situation, while Israel cannot equally be deaf and blind to basic human sensibilities and sensitivity. The world is tired of this mistrust, anger, apartheid and bloodshed, and something has to give.

The Israel Lobby rules – as always. The long-suffering Palestinians and the citizens of the US lose. As always.

We all know the extreme RIGHT wing government of Israel is not interested in peace and Israel has NEVER wanted peace with Palestinians. Simple, just look at how many Palestinians the Israeli state kills every year! And now, Right wing McCain and Lindsay are in Israel brown nosing up to Netanyahu! The Government of the U.S. is controlled by Israel through AIPAC. It is time for the U.S. to get out of negotiations and quit giving Israel more weapons to kill Palestinians.

Why is the article titled “Palestinian protesters greet Kerry’s visit” when the only photograph of any protesters shows Israelis? Does Reuters not know the difference?

My opinion! If you like Kerry you can have him. Anything Kerry does creates major problems for the U.S. He is almost as big a disaster as H. Clinton is.

Of course the U.S. is biased. The most obvious indicator of Israel’s “special relation” with the U.S. is the total amount of foreign aid Israel received from America’s taxpayers as of 2005. It amounted to nearly $154 billion (in 2005 dollars), the bulk of it comprising direct grants rather than loans.
However, the actual total is significantly higher, because direct U.S. aid is given under unusually favorable terms and the U.S. provides Israel with other forms of material assistance that are not included in the foreign assistance budget.

Peace? Israel is NOT interested. After all, there is a relative peace with the Palestinians. The current negotiations is a sham. Israel is interested in a canal diverting water from the Jordan River since 1953.

Likud’s Charter does NOT allow sovereign state of Palestine and reads as follow:

“The Government of Israel flatly rejects the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river. The Palestinians can run their lives freely in the framework of self-rule, but not as an independent and sovereign state. Thus, for example, in matters of foreign affairs, security, immigration and ecology, their activity shall be limited in accordance with imperatives of Israel’s existence, security and national needs.

Thanks, PaulBradley, for that item from the Likud charter. I’ve never seen that in the mainline press. Naturally.

It certainly appears that the principal Secretaries ( State and Defense) are sharing an IQ:
Sec. Kerry is beating a dead horse–an Israeli/Palestinian peace accord while Lebanon descends into chaos.
Sec. Hagel probably doesn’t know that the $ 3Billion grant from the KSA to the Lebanese army is made on the condition the the weapons be purchased from France. See the recent editional from the Daily Star (Beirut).
Further, our President appears to have NO CLUE !

5 decades of just pure unadulterated hatred between Jews and Palestinians cannot be settled by a stroke of a pen. It will need a lot of chemotherapy before the cancer of hate is contained. It will be the next generation that will need to step up to the plate and start building a co existence plan, side by side. One country supplies the brains the other has brawns, so make peace and you can make it work guys.

What are the facts of this framework agreement? Why not lay them out for the people to see exactly what is in the agreement? What benefits are there for either side?

Ten visits by Kerry in less than a year – how many more before April? Years and years – meeting after meeting – anyone remember the definition of insanity?
