Politically driven as opposed to fiscally prudent..what more could one expect from a group of individuals who spend more time securing their own futures than they do of the individuals that elected them. Of course, if the people had a lobby to represent them backed by millions like corporations do, they might stand a chance. Indeed it is a sad state of affairs for those in the present and a sadder one for those in the future.

I’m sure that Americans are relieved that this threat by their representatives has been avoided. Then again, I suspect that some Americans are disappointed that the threat wasn’t carried through.

The bill contained four separate provisions to deny funds to ACORN, which was dissolved in 2011.

They were probably forced in by Congressman who believe that President Obama thinks there are 57 states.

Isn’t privatization of our government services wonderful? Masters of the universe get control of services we taxpayers funded, strip the assets, then we get to keep bailing them out because they manage to lose all our money. Time to put a stop to it.

The Dems got funding for Head Start, Obamacare, the GOP got a ban on funding to a defunct since 2011 Acorn. Some coal interests were taken up, some new sanctions on Iraq (the president does not have to use them with weak wording)were put in by the GOP too. In all this bill probably won’t pass the House as is, but if it does the president will sign it.

This bill originated in, and has already passed, the House. It’s a done deal.
