Where was all of this sudden concern (for Google) when Saumsung was frivolously sued by Apple?

I believe that This American Life demonstrated rather unequivocally that Intellectual Ventures is a duplicitous, scheming patent troll of the highest order. They specialize in buying vague tech patents (e.g. “System and method for the installation of software across connected systems”), selling those patents to shell corporations, and then orchestrating massive lawsuits against small businesses in the name of the shell corporations and denying any and all involvement. They’re con artists. But they make a laser that kills mosquitos that’s pretty cool.
