So you want to ask the voters for money for your schools while turning around and giving a tax break to corporations…why wouldn’t you keep the rate the same since they don’t pay it anyway and actually enforce what you are supposed to be collecting?

I think it’s rather disgusting Americans are perfectly fine with a corporation being more of a human than they are.

If the government punishes you for something you say it is a violation of your Constitutional right to free speech. If a company fires you for something you say it is corporate policy.

Does anyone else see how easy it is to get around your Constitution?

Why are you all okay with that?

It’s capitalism, it’s inherently flawed (though the best system we can currently come up with). With low employment numbers and globalization pushing down wages, employment isn’t a right but a privilege that gets leveraged against the taxpayer unfortunately. So we are forced to take it on the chin when personal taxes get paid while corporations taxes continuously get lowered. The problem is no matter how much we lower the rate, there will be some other more desperate/indifferent country who will have less of a corporate tax rate and companies will flee there.

What many do not fully comprehend is that corporations are made up of humans, both as employees and/or as owners. Additionally, corporations pay taxes and then the profits of the corporation are taxed again when they are distributed to the owners/shareholders of the corporation. In other words, double taxation of the profits. It is easy to demonize corporations as being a bad thing but in reality they are made up of people, just like you and me. Open competition without a bunch of government intervention is the best system available for a strong economy. When government gets involved, problems materialize from the picking of winners and losers by the politicians.

Cuomo spent $140 million for an advertising campaign called “New York State Open for Business”. He forgot to add “Unless you are Catholic, disagree with me, own a gun, or think for yourself.”
