That is fair. And we should be ashamed to expect otherwise.

Ya think? Unless China suddenly agrees to take over paying the Paks in perpetuity, to not use their nukes against Delhi….. then yes. Your friend is America.

Do you know America is the most indebted country in the world? US has borrowed from almost every country in the world in terms of US treasury holdings. It is US’ ability to pay off debt by printing dollars without any checks and bounds allows it lot of flexibility. You might ask why countries buy US treasuries and lend money to US – it is because there is no other super power in the world, what that means is whole world respect US because of its military and technology prowess. If tomorrow, US says that we are disarming and will be peaceful nation and will just focus on our economy without interfering in any world affairs – that day US dollar will cease to be World Reserve Currency and US citizens’ standard of living will be something you would have never imagined.

Yes, Continuing Good Relations with the largest Democracy is important in the interest of Both India and US. But Bending the Rule of Law for this Corrupt “Diplomat”.. NO WAY. This diplomat is used to breaking the law and getting away with it in India all her life because of her being classified a “Dalit”, that made her conclude she is “untouchable” by US LAW also. In India there is one law for the people, but the privileged group (Politicians, Govt Officials like her) are ABOVE THE LAW. That has earned India the title as the most Corrupt country and the most difficult place to do business. Let us not bend the Rules here that will facilitate this contagion to spread here.

Time to pony up. ALL Indian green card people to return to India in the next 60 days. State Dept to issue HIGH Threat level travel warning to ALL US personnel, and begin immediate recovery of ALL US citizens from India. Immediate HIGH tariff tax applied to ANY US business with location inside India.

India becomes the new Cuba.
