Bloomberg is a great choice with a focus on Cities and Climate – he’s strong on education & crime, and an advocate for gun control and effective climate policy. I think he can be effective in this role, even in a disfunctional organization like the UN.

He’ll promote pragmatic policies – not campaign slogans; but I would expect to see the U.S. formally disagree with his appointment and refuse to support/fund any of his initiatives. If you’re not beholden to Obama and ‘bow’ to ‘his’ city & climate initiatives – then you will get no public or private support. I’m sure Bloomberg knows this – good luck..
De Blasio must be fuming that Bloomberg’s not ‘fading away’ – just moving to the ‘east side’ – and is still going to grab NYC headlines..

Fraud. Bloomberg adds the authenticity of a plastic plug-in electric fireplace to the global warming fraud. Stuffed shirts bathing in Rothschild filthy lucre. Not a pretty picture.

climatechangereconsidered.org is a fossil fuel industry propaganda site, part of a $900million/year anti-science disinformation campaign. The sponsors are a handful of billionaire crackpots and fossil fuel executives. Investigators for the Guardian and the Independent documented its structure two years ago. Last year their report was confirmed in a peer reviewed paper by sociologist Robert Brulle. Google “Brulle PDF Institutionalizing Delay” to read his paper.

Its “scientists” no longer publish in climate change science because they have no credible scientific evidence that will be accepted in any peer-reviewed science journal In the world. They are paid by fossil fuels to say what the industry wants them to say. They deny what every publishing climate scientist in the world now agrees to: global warming is man-made and a dire threat to humanity. Every scientific body in the world that deals with climate change now concurs

I noticed a link provided by unionwv. It takes you to Sen. Inhofe’s organization that spreads dis-information about climate change. He’s well funded by fossil fuel interests. The world’s respected scientific institution don’t agree with him.

More of us need to call these “leaders” out for what they are and see that they’re removed from office in the next election. Apathy only advocates more of the same destructive behaviors. Our future generations are worth some effort.
