Through the logic employed here, is there even a reason to limit it only to terminally ill children?

Why not anyone, anytime, no questions asked? Should, for example, a professional gymnast who breaks their leg, ending their career, not also have this choice?

We need to move more towards a culture of hope, instead of a culture of narcissistic despair disguised as compassion.
