those drug lords get captured, another one takes his place and the same thing hapens, it is been going on like this for the last 50 years, more violence and more inocent people killed and many times inocent people put in jail, Mexico is paying a high price in lives lost just to suply the insatiable demand for drugs of the United States, both countries needs to change their ways of living.

This guy alone, by himself probably did more damage to the US than a barefooted camel driver turned terrorist in the Middle East. Seems the US has somewhat mixed-up priorities.

Great joint effort by Mexico and the US to finally take him down. Now the Mexican’s need to send him to the US for imprisonment. If they put him in prison in Mexico best case he will continue to run his cartel from behind bars like Escobar did for years and worst case he will escape from some corrupt prison. So while I am a little sad they did not summarily execute him I am sure we could find a spot for him at Super Max in Canyon City.

To bad he did not huff a blunt with Obama, Jay Z, and Holder. In another year all the named drugs will be legal here in Obama land and he would have been a guest at the white house…. Now he will have to wait for a pardon before he can get high with our president and his advisors….

Wars on things like drugs, poverty, terrorism, are futile.
There are far more of them than us; we should ‘circle the wagons’.

The Mexican Navy has killed -or captured- all of the big guys in the “guerra contra el narco”, thanks to the steady hand of US agencies involved in this war. (The Mexican Army doesn’t do business with US forces). Since plans for the drug trade to be stabilized are afoot, el Chapo is no longer needed, hence this “victory” for Mr.Peña Nieto. (Reuters: Pena means pain, Peña means rock and the latter sounds better for el presidente). The questions remain: How is the US supply of 250 tons of coke is going to be re-established?, and what about the jobs of judges, border agents, sheriffs, and city cops involved in drug activity to be affected?, and the investors?. 80,000 dead?, what about the other 80,000?.

Guzman is an excellent reason to bring back pubic beheadings. Make a brutal and visible example of his death as a warning to others. It won’t work, of course, at first. But, put enough of them to the guillotine and we might get somewhere.

Excellent idea explorer08, and while we’re at it, let’s do the same to all the American junkies that have funded the Cartels for years. If enough of them are sent to the guillotine, maybe we’ll get somewhere.
