Who determines the “clean cut” image? Sounds like one coach has an idea and is imposing it regardless; or maybe he is watching too much Ozzy and Harriet. If the kids have the talent to play does it matter what their hair is like so long as it doesn’t interfere with their play?

Growing up 30 odd years ago in the mid-west, if we wanted to play any sport in high school we were not allowed to have long hair. I always thought it was ridiculous and I’m glad to see people standing up to enforced conformity like this. It’s a real shame though that anyone had to go to court to see it happen in a free country.
