When the Kurds rose up against Saddam, the United States harassed Saddam to the end, until they wiped out his entire generation, not to mention imposing crippling sanctions on the country. When rebels rose up in Syria the US give unprecedented moral support, even considering sending arms, blaming Assad and, imposing murderous sanctions. When eastern Ukrainians rose up they were derided as pro-Russians terrorists who must be put down; this after the US and EU instituted regime change in Ukraine (remember ‘Yats is our guy’?). And Russia must smile and welcome encirclement with open arms. Hmmm! What arrant hypocrisy and double standards.

Let’s be honest here… Russia has too much at stake to be deterred from taking the Eastern Ukraine… She’s like a bear that just woke up from a winter hibernation and she’s hungry. The only question is HOW MUCH she will eat…

strange how Obama is so intent on regime changes over seas there and in the Middle East and seems very will to come to blows to make it happen even when the change is not for the betterment of the people involved but a boost for one of his Muslim or separatist groups that can latter be exploited to further destabilize a region
