Having lived extensively in India, I sympathize with the Indians and would agree with what Narendra Modi has stated. India is a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-religious, tolerant and inclusive country which has allowed refugees to settle for thousands of years. Jews who fled the holy land and Zoroastrians who fled Iran after facing religious persecution are few examples. However, the neighboring countries like Pakistan & Bangladesh are not sympathetic towards minorities like Hindus, Christians, Jews, Bohras and Shia muslaims. Unlike India, the governments of Bangladesh and Pakistan tend to exclude the minorities from growth and this forces the minorities to leave these these countries. Besides, which country in the world permits illegals to stay in the country? Modi is right. The illegals from Bangladesh ought to be sent back to where ever they came from, period!

Funny, how they come-up with these inciting headlines.

“.. Massacres of Muslims..”

It’ll help to understand what triggered these.

It was the massacre of Hindus in a train, by Muslims for no apparent reason in the first place.

Author says in the middle of the article: “While there is no evidence Modi’s words had any bearing on the latest bloodshed in a long-running conflict, his rivals say the speeches, which continued after the attacks, risk alienating many in India’s Muslim minority of 150 million people.”

There is mo evidence. Modi is a chief minister still. For a state far away from Assam. Ruling party is still congress. Hmmm … This is the quality of journalism today. Wonder who pays for such journalism?

Please stop citing Twitter feeds as a valid news source! It is a discredit to the generally fine reporting done by Reuters. Although the lack of objectivity in the Cliven Bundy situation was disappointing.

Reuters, you are one of the last quality news sites; please don’t screw it up!
