Another example of how the Europeans don’t want to do enough to protect themselves militarily.

@calfri – The Europeans have enough military to protect themselves; they just don’t have enough military to run around the world playing cop and bully like the US.

Good for the Swiss. “…the times they are achangin’…” in Europe. Socialism and multiculturalism are failing to produce the utopian outcomes that were promised, but have delivered all of the debt, cultural loss, and insecurity that was predictable.

Of course, the U.S. must now make all of the same mistakes only 20 years later. It’s odd that the U.S. doesn’t learn from the foibles of other societies…its almost like the human events of other nations just doesn’t apply to us…we’re special (by God!)

@majkmushrm: Go ask Angie Merkel, then, what she’d think about the U.S. pulling its troops out of Germany. Have fun eating your magic mushrooms.

The US should have a representative democracy. It would be nice not to be forced to support illegal corporate wars around the world for a change!

Of course the Swiss voted down, overwhelmingly, an increase in the minimum wage. They have a successful economy run by people with brains instead of hard left, Marxist, ideologues, who have no clue what they are doing. Clearly, the Swiss understand what is beyond the comprehension of US fast food workers!

In the meantime, here in America we want to give $15/hour to burger flippers just because we “feel bad for them”. Newsflash – having three kids and buying a house when you work at Burger King is DUMB. Then going on strike because your bad decisions are backfiring just makes you look silly. Gain some skills before you complain!

I’m struggling on my own to pay back grad school debt ($350/month), rent ($1600/month in Brooklyn), health insurance ($350/month from Freelancers Union), car insurance ($26/month from Insurance Panda), cable/internet ($100/month), food ($200/month), gas ($100/month), and other various expenses. I work hard and barely get to enjoy my money. I work a 40 hour week and make $50k/year… that averages out to around $25/hour. To see these freeloaders try to get hand-me-outs doing mindless jobs that require no training and then complaining about not getting $15/hour is infuriating!

jodukepiryk, Yes it may be mindless to you but you must understand it takes a lot of skill to put up with people like you. Many people demand their burger fast and correct even with special orders, so it does take some special skills.

Flopping Whoppers ain’t worth $15.00 an hour. Such low skill/entry level jobs were never meant to provide a living wage for a family. The idea is to gain experience and knowlege qualifying one for a higher paying job, but nooo… At the behest of commie union pukes, these mouth breathers make outrageous, unrealistic demands. When they’re rightly rejected they claim it’s due to racism, greedy business owners or conservative/moderate society’s disregard for workers. Even if these commie defectives demands are met, it’s never enough and they still hate you regardless. There will never be peace until the commie union/Green turds are kicked to the curb globally
