My heart goes out to all affected by this catastrophe.

Anyone who still denies the reality of climate change is squatting on the graves of each and every person who has lost their lives to this flooding, and spitting in the face of survivors.

And so, bit by bit, we see the results of humankind along with some help by Mother Nature. All of we humans, Americans, Europeans, Asians, Africans, South Americans, Indonesians bear some responsibility. That being said, it will do little or no good for the Europeans and North Americans to do their share if the others in the world including the Chinese, Indians, Indonesians, Brazilians, etc. don’t do their part.
Drought is affecting the coffee grower in Costa Rica, the rain forest is being decimated in Brazil as well as Indonesia by the corporations and the Oligarchs who can only think of profit. India is a mess and is one of the biggest polluters along with China. Quit bashing the West and America. The whole world is equally responsible. If the U.S. would or could cut back totally on the carbon footprint, India and China would more than make up with their continued pollution, especially with coal and gasoline.
