gkam wrote: How can we help? Answer, stop shopping at Wal-Mart, use as little gas/oil as possible, invest in and use renewable energy, get rid of oil/coal/nuke power. Disband multi-national corporations. Other than that not much and until that happens just sit back and watch the destruction because it will get progressive worse. L.

It is a bit ironic when coal burning power stations are wrecked and coal mines flooded by the predicted increase in rainfall severity and duration caused by buildup of greenhouse gases.
The small Balkan nations are rather historical victims. India seemed the worst influence to wreck post Kyoto global efforts – by bureaucrat demands for hundreds of billions of dollars to “do anything”, and increases in emissions. The BJP seems to want to just do narrow “economic development” and will also poison their food supply etc like China and wring their hands about floods and typhoons and droughts.
It seems coal burning will continue where there is booming population numbers and a big supply of cheap and disposable labor.
