This is what deregulation has bought us. Companies moving things around to artificially inflate prices, and our wallets are the only place the money is coming from. Every time you’ve bought a can of soda or a roll of aluminum foil, you’ve paid a financial company’s executives bonuses.

And they don’t think they’re doing anything wrong, even after they fleeced billions out of the economy a few years ago on the CDS’s and flaky bond ratings. Anti-capitalism at its best.

Over in China, they are putting top ranking executives in jail for corruption and even executing a few of them.

You can think of a country’s economy as a great, lumbering beast. When the great beast has too many parasites, those parasites slow it right down.

China wants to overtake the U.S. economically in a decade or two. It helps to get rid of the things that slow you down.
