It looks like President Obama traded five Taliban leaders for one U.S. deserter.

“Dazed?” Just wait until the authorities start investigating him for treason. Then he’ll have something to get “dazed” about. I hope his former military colleagues continue to tell their stories. It is quite unfortunate that several died in looking for this guy.

The anti-American sentiment from so called Americans (most everyone with a mask over their face) is quite high; there are more deserters on comments groups than any where else in the world.

What anti-American sentiment? I’ve seen people being critical of Obama’s deal of trading five terrorists (Mullah Salem Khan, a Taliban commander in Afghanistan, said the men were already bracing for battle) for one soldier (foolish, PTSD sufferer, deserter or a man just as misguided as Obama). Why did this deal happen now? Diversion from the VA scandal? If so, I don’t think the fallout is what Obama expected!

Who says the comments are from Americans, I’m not an American. The comments aren’t anti-American, they are anti-Obama (trade deal) and anti-Bergdahl (because they believe him a deserter).

President Obama is winding down the war in Afghanistan, as he promised, and new potential leaders there have said they will work with the Taliban so it seems like President Obama made a wise move. Time and investigation will tell if Mr. Bergdahl simply suffered from war fatigue or deserted. Let’s wait to rush to judgement.

Point out the anti-American sentiment please. Sorry but not agreeing with Obama is not anti-American. I guess you agreed with every thing GW Bush did because you don’t want to be anti-American.

Yeah right. Try 5 Taliban flunkies questioned for 12 years, without being charged, and producing no valuable information. These losers have been detained since before iphones and facebook were invented. They think bin laden is still alive :). Anything they ever knew, if they knew it, is so stale a horse wouldn’t eat it. They are worthless to us and if they are dangerous, we’ll just shoot them with a drone.

Well Obama killed an American citizen and his child with a drone for preaching his religion and hating America, I don’t see why he would have any problem killing these prisoners too.

@TheNEwWorld…Aw-Awliki (spelling) was killed in a drone strike because he was actively supporting and/or starting plots to kill Americans(not ‘preaching his religion and hating America’) and he would not surrender to authorities. So instead of risking more American lives in a capture attempt, he was taken care of by other means. That being said their should be more transparency in the drone program.

If we killed every person for preaching their religion and/or hating America, then these comment boards would probably be more based in reality.

With NO facts other then some Army Sgt’s unsubstantiated rumors, which anyone who has ever served on active duty knows, are just that, rumors, it seems the predictable haters have come out. Not one word of the Army’s phony “hero awards for football player who served and died” etc, or even the phony “SF rescues Army women”, both by the Bush/DOD propaganda machines.

Disgusting to see the posts and others running this kid down without at least being able to get to the facts. Disgusting bunch of cowards and we cannot discount the political motivation of Right/Tea Pukes whom seem heavily involved. How dare they do it, well mix in a bit of racism about Obama, a total lack of facts, ignorance, and usually KKK type rationals, and once again, a few fools make USA look like a land of hate. The kid served, he went there, what all really happened we do not know, but the hater’s, seem to be more vocal, and of course media, whom most haters dislike, are in for their usual two weeks of coverage, rumors and all. Let the kid come home, leave him and family alone, the haters disgrace the military and the nation. The haters, sound like Klaners in wanna be Camo’s

Could you explain to me where you get the proof he was actively supporting and/or starting plots to kill Americans? Because all you just provided me is the line that comes from the White House that has decided that it is not necessary to prove anything in a court of law before they kill American citizens and their children. You will have to forgive me if I don’t trust the administration at its word, I don’t have the disability of believing everything Obama says, even when he has been caught multiple times misleading the American public or out right lying, that you seem to have.

It is funny that you bring up the Bush/DOD propaganda machine here. This is the Obama/DOD propaganda machine doing the same thing and yet you support this propaganda and deny Bush’s. Sounds like you are either just a partisan Bush hater and the government was correct in those cases, or you are a hypocrite for not thinking it valid for us to not believe the same BS from a different President. Which do you prefer to be called?

You can put your stupid, irrelevant, race card back in the deck. That drivel is as stupid as me saying that you opposed Bush because he was white…

The race thing is real. I live in a conservative state (Idaho) and work in a conservative state (Utah)…. and there is hardly a day that goes by where the N word doesn’t fly off some co-worker’s tongue when talking about Obama. Conservatives always deny it on these posts and in public. Wouldn’t you? They can use silly code words (Kenyan, community organizer, inner city).. But get them alone, where they think you are republican too…. it comes out plenty loud. Putting that Romney sticker on my pickup gave me a window into the dark underbelly of the conservative movement in America.
