“The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a report showing that 1.2 million people filed health insurance enrollment applications with questionable income data, while 461,000 had issues with citizenship and 505,000 with immigration.”

It appears the questionable information was entered by enrollees and caught by the system, and not a system malfunction.

“A 25 percent error rate is simply unacceptable when it comes to proper use of scarce taxpayer dollars.” say Orrin Hatch.

So, Mr. Hatch, why don’t you take it up with the 2.2 million “taxpayers” who entered the incorrect information to begin with? If everyone in America were computer (and otherwise, literate) I guess this problem wouldn’t have occurred.

You think it was just ignorance that they filed their applications with questionable income data, or issues with citizenship or immigration? I don’t think this is an ACA issue, these things happen on this scale on unemployment, food stamps, welfare etc. It is called scamming the system. Unfortunately the GOP will use it as an attack on the ACA, but it really is just further proof that people will commit fraud to get handouts from the government.

Right, fools. The wise man is the man who is against having affordable healthcare. That way if, say, his son needs an appendectomy he’ll be forced to wait until the last minute, and if his son doesn’t die, take him to the emergency room, make the entire procedure cost twice as much, make everyone else pay for it, and ruin the wise man’s credit so that he has even MORE financial problems. Obviously you’re a wise man, Thomsonx12.

The United States is the ONLY developed country where people cannot get affordable healthcare and it’s because of the our conservatives, the same people who are obsessed with guns and don’t believe 97% of the world’s scientists when they tell us that man is contributing to climate change. Have another cigarette. After all, cigarettes don’t cause cancer. That was another brilliant position held for years by US conservatives.

@carnivalchaos is correct.People are going to support ACA if they think they are getting something for nothing. The losers are the people who take good care of themselves, can afford to self insure and have better use for their money, than wasting it on overpriced insurance(not qualifying for welfare).Maybe the answer is to lie, like the others, pay little and ripoff fellow citizens. Not for me.I try to avoid govt welfare programs, neither taking or contributing.
