I like “no fewer than” 40 individuals. Often I see “fully” in a similar context. I think “no fewer than” sounds much more natural, as though the writer is expressing astonishment, even mild incredulity, rather than a sense of overflow, bulk or disproportion.

Seems that this sort of “snap mass death” site could provide much more information than scattered deaths. Similar to the ruins of Pompeii vs a large graveyard. Maybe caused by volcanic gases, or methane release from the bottom of a fresh water lake. Or a mutated virus.

Soft tissue has not previously survived fossilization. These guys have not found soft tissue of dinos yet, but there is now a suspension of disbelief that they will. Get soft tissue, get DNA, and suddenly you have an evolutionary tree that pre-dates the 65 million year K-T boundary.
