Isn’t it time for us the leave? No American troops = no GI deaths.

Please President Obama stop telling up how much better you are then bush. Now that you have given a date of final withdrawal from Afghanistan of Dec 2016 (at the end of your term) and you have announced it to everyone. Please pull out our troops now. For all intense and purposes it is over in Afghanistan. You have tried a surge, you have sent drone after americans, you have increased the drone strikes markedly over Bush, you have given up 5 terrorist and broken US law for our POw or Traitor (who knows), you will have continued the war that Bush started for 8 additional years, you have started negotiating with Iran, you have given a red line to Syria and then backed out. Please let our Men and Boys come home NOW. Between Bush and Obama we have done very little correct in the middle east. Lets at least bring our troops home rather than let then continue to get killed for another year and a half. You could do that with a direct order as commander in chief. Everyone would agree it was legal, they might not like that you did it but it is completely your constitutional power as there is no congressional law against it. I understand the congress declares war but they did not in Afghanistan (I think). You did not set up an armed forces agreement with Iraq when you left, why do you feel we need it with Afghanistan? I agree it would be helpful, but you did not think it was very important in Iraq so is it really worth more of your men being killed.

Another failed US intervention. Good men dying in a foreign country that doesn’t and NEVER wanted them there. It has been a waste of lives, money and time, and for what, nothing. Afghanistan will revert to it’s primitive tribal/religious system after ISAF pulls out. It’s time to admit defeat, unlike the victory in Iraq (sarcasm) and like carlmartel keeps saying let Russia, China and the rest of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have that headache and nightmare. I say good luck US and good riddance, at least my country has left that cesspool.
