complete and total rubbish. this has being tried and what companies did is use the money for mergers. they didn’t invest in the economy. this is yet another means of rewarding the corporation. what needs to be done to fix the highway fund, is to find a means at which the fund would funded and pegged to inflation.

Why should we give the corporations a free ride? The US is already running a structural budget deficit and it makes no sense to give multinational corporations a tax break on profits they earn abroad. It’s a short term solution that doesn’t serve the long-term problem.

McConnell, you need to leave office. This may not be the dumbest thing you’ve ever come up with but it’s got to be close.

Vote every republican out of every office every chance you get!

OK McConnell, restore the income tax act of 1913. Sum all personal income then implement a progressive tax rate margin-ed at subsistence wage ($30k single), reaching 90% at $1 Million, forever ending any deduction, and any other form of taxation. After doing this declaring separation of corporate and state and supporting universal health care, you have my attention.
Else, this is complete and total rubbish, simply a way to benefit the 0.1% at the expense of everyone else.

What happened to the hundreds of billions in highway taxes we have already paid? Other than kickbacks to unions, where have those tax dollars gone? No more until you audit the HERF and highway trust funds.
