There are 28 states who legally recognize “villages” as a type of municipality.

In Nebraska: “Villages are municipal governments with 100 to 800 inhabitants.”

After having recently experienced a hail storm that did unbelievable damage in less than five minutes, I have a new appreciation for what a town like this is seeing today. In our area, cars were totaled, aluminum siding was destroyed, and windows were smashed to pieces. The insurance adjusters have been in town for weeks now trying to estimate the damage.

Our town is also a small rural town. What a pain in the neck it is to deal with situations such as this. You all have our deepest sympathy.
