Safe to say that the bulls are going to win their bets on this IPO round.

At some point, the bottom feeders will realize that GoPRO is a one trick pony, and that there are other ponies in the corral. A great example is the offering of Midland; more compact, a great complement of included mountinng accessories, uses great adhesives, very good quality video and sound with decent battery life, and for 1/2 the price. I’m not hawking Midland, but the point is that GoPro is yesterdays news in a bulky package.

With every conceivable personal electronic device coming equipped with rapidly improving cameras and larger memory storage, is GoPro a technology with legs? Not in it’s present form. Beware the one trick pony.

Great idea GoPro – too bad the Chinese and Indians will steal it and produce it cheaper. Welcome to the American Dream!

If an IPO goes up that much on the first day, the investment bankers arranging the IPO have essentially defrauded the company itself by underpricing the shares. Their buddies, who get an allocation of the IPO shares and then immediately resell for a profit, collect the loot.

The public loses because rather than encouraging innovation by rewarding the innovators and providing investment dollars to productive industries to further stimulate the economy, Wall Street insiders are rewarded for dishonesty in pricing the IPO.
