Hypocrites. The USA just gave more ammunition to Israel. Israel has been bombing hospitals and schools. Where is EU, USA,Canada, Britain, France, and Australia.
The reason we dont have peace in this world is because these hypocrites are stuck in their colonial ways and expound double standards. That leads to perpetual conflict.

@roymeddock I agree with your comments. Yet there is no mention on Russia trying to safeguard its interest by arming the pro-russian rebels?

The US is sanction happy, and they are convincing EU leaders to go along with the futile economic blackmail. There is no way Putin will change his behavior because of sanctions, and now Poland is stuck with 2 billion dollars in perishable goods thanks to the high minded politicians. What a waste.

President Putin as of yet, hasn’t sent in troops to help the ETHNIC RUSSIANS the ETHNIC NAZI’s are trying to “cleanse” from their new Ukraine. And we’re actually talking about 3 Million people who live in Crimea. Those of Crimea Held a Democratically elected vote and had over 90% turn out at the poles and over 75% voted to withdraw from Ukraine and Join Russia. Now, In addition to that, you have to remember the population base of this territory, how many are on retirement, and how many are in the working ages. Russia will also be giving a huge raise to those peoples simply applying a Russian Retired Policemans wage to a Ukrainian Policemans wage.

This isn’t anything different than Iran and Syria and I’m sure more the American people don’t know about. But if we’re ever to get our acts together and get America on track to being a great nation, we have to break the hold on our Media, we have to break the hold of Monsanto, Dow, Dupont and a few others. We have to quit manufacturing weapons of war and figure out what peacetime really is, because I’m 50 years old and I don’t know of a time when America wasn’t at was with someone.

Search for the truth. The Rebels, terrorist here are the VICTIMS not the aggressors and this ‘war’ is only to serve american interests. If (the gods forbid) President Putin did retaliate, he’d have every right. IN THIS INSTANCE.

This is de facto “serious military aggression”
but they continue to speak about “support for the rebellion in parts of Ukraine”. Ukraine needs military help now, not schizophrenic contemplations.

People get very confused, between east, west, some calling eastern the separatist, the ‘terrorists’ and no one ever knows really who is being aggressive, besides the Neo-Nazi group dressing as “ethnic russians” just to give them a bad name and to blame them for war crimes.

It’s classic Nazi strategy.

ok I would like to say is that why is the USA imposing sanctions on Russia? its because Russia for supplying arms to Russian rebels.
But here we have THE USA supply arms to Israel.
Now the arms that the USA has given to Israel has killed 1400 people, and at least half has been ladies and children and infants.

So why does Germany and France and the UK NOT impose sanctions on the USA ?

And please don’t get me wrong, I love USA people and I always will, and my country is a very strong friend of the USA.

But I don’t get it.

Russia is so focused on the USA and the EU that it forgot about its relationship to its fellow Slavs: most Ukrainians hate Russia now, other Slavic nations are deeply suspicious of Russia. Hey Mr. Putin, that’s a bad plan! How does treating the ethnic Ukrainians like enemies serve your long-term goals for Russia? You’ve sowed the seeds to centuries of future conflict.

People toss about the term “Nazi” like they actually know about which they are talking. The Russians have something to hide, like their role in the shooting down of a civilian aircraft, and the “ethnic Russians” in the Ukraine are nothing more than what is left of the Russian fish with which Joseph Stalin stocked all the Russian border vassal states to provide the nonsense excuse to invade and continue Russian imperialism. The Russians need another taste of the Mongols to teach them an historic lesson they soon forgot a long time ago.

Well “eossipov” you certainly have much to say about nothing. We in the West DO NOT have state controlled media like: North Korea, Iran, Syria, Hiltler’s Germany, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, Stalin’s Russia, China, and of course your President Putin’s Russia. The respect Russia craves is diminishing worldwide by the minute and will take a long time to repair. You obviously do not understand. KGB agents becoming billionaires is ridiculous. How did this happen? Plunder?

One of the first steps towards democracy and a fairer more inclusive society is, independent news and transparent institutions…something you, living in under dictatorship would know little about. Stop preaching “You alone” knows the truth when there are eyes in the sky everywhere that do not lie.

Art16 I like your comment. Cheers!

It is a Galician myth that has very common with reality. For example, one of my grand-grand-grand fathers, a provincial lawyer, was ethnic Russian or considered himself ethnic Russian. He was born around 1850 in city of Kharkov more than half a century before Stalin became known, actually a generation before the Dzugashvilli was born in Gori, Georgia. Moreover, his father, an educated (MS equivalent) Orthodox priest, also lived in Kharkov, where he headed a big cathedral. I am less sure about his ancestors, but I was told that he was a forth of fifth in his family with such an education; to my understanding they also lived and worked in what now is Ukraine or nearby.

Concerning “considered himself ethnic Russian”: before about 1840 practically nobody considered Ukrainians (“Malorosses”, people from “Smaller Russia”) and Russians (“Velikorosses”, people from “Greater Russia”) to be distinct ethnicities. The idea became popular only toward the end of 1850-ths.

Even after, it did not drive a wedge between the two closely related peoples. My aforementioned ethnic Russian lawyer grand-grand… father happily married my ethnic Zaporozhie Cossack grand-grand…mother; it was absolutely common.
