@AGGNews Of course we are. Media is in a frenzy of police bashing again. It doesn’t matter to them that Kepler was driving his POV when confronting the couple, nor does it matter to them that Lake was not shot in the line of duty.

All that matters to them is that Kepler is in some way affiliated with law enforcement so they can use it for the headline.

The reality is that Lake was shot by a deranged parent in a concealed carry state. The police headline is irrelevant.

I’m sure there is some missing background here to this story. Anyhow, can’t say I’m surprised. If anything, I’m surprised he didn’t get away with it, calling it self defense, he approached the officer with some sort of imaginary mortal threat. 24 years on the force, go figure.

@AdamMickiewicz: Actually, the reality is even more simple. Lake was shot by a deranged parent. Everything else is irrelevant.

Yes, when public servants murder citizens, that is typically noted in the story. This is nothing new whatsoever except to the paranoid who see conspiracies in every walk of life.

@ Hawker75 & AdamMickiewicz: The fact this person is a sworn officer charged with carrying his firearm at all times doesn’t matter?

Based on your logic, once he puts his uniform on he’s not crazy anymore. This was supposed to be one of those “good guys” with a gun. Who this guy is does matter and is relevant.
