A critic of costly biofuels, US lawmaker once secured funds for them

Better late than never. If only our Congressmen and appointed leaders read science like they read campaign donors. The German National Academy of Sciences just released the results of a 3-year study on biofuels and their report recommends that Europe abandon biofuels–for the sake of the environment, for the sake of global warming, and for the sake of sustainable energy. If you are a taxpayer and not living by government grants, or if you actually care about the environment, then read this. It was not written by Republicans or Democrats, but by German scientists in the country that has been the most progressive in all forms of alternative energy.
