Toyotas speeding to over 100 miles per hour while the brake pedals were disabled? Utter rubbish. Brakes in virtually all passenger cars on the road, even those from Toyota, are operated by a small hydraulic piston mechanically linked to the brake pedal. The brakes are designed to apply more force to the wheels than the engine can deliver, so it is possible to stop a car even with the engine running out of control. Who dreams this stuff up? Mendacious lawyers? Just watch, these crooks are now going to use the Toyota case as a template to go after GM, then Ford, then Chrysler, while they enrich themselves and send the price of cars through the roof. Lawyers win. America loses.
