Bill/Steve; By an odd chance, I hope that you come upon this comment… What werre you thinking pushing Windows 8 to legacy desktops & laptops? It is a disaster to say the least. As a die-hard windows-based technician (who’s been in the business over 30 years); I, as well as some savvy customers, liken Windows 8 to Windows Millenium Edition (and need I remind you of that colossal mistake). Windows 8 maybe great for touch devices, but you should have made a retro look and feel design of 8 for traditional desktops & laptops. Hopefully, you’ll consider a Service Pack that does this, as Windows 8 is a drastic change for those used to the Windows standard (of easily found shutdown/restart features; i.e. a START BUTTON). Best Buy’s $100 offer is good, but judging via my customers, and experience; $100 does not susbstitute for the frustration the new look Windows 8 causes. In an honest nutshell, it’s semi-garbage.
