Maybe when Obama is counting jobs he created or saved, he means in CHINA.

Good deal, the more dealershios they have, world wide, the better our balance of trade and the quicker we will get our bail out money back.

In China they make completely different car models versus here in the United States. At the moment China is a growing market and there is a demand for larger cars such as the Cadillac. Many different brands are made in China STRICTLY for the Chinese. Like the BMW 3 and 5 series. They only make those 2 models yet they can not buy the 7 series domestically. They love Fords but can not buy anything but the Fiesta and the Focus. All cars in China are also held to different safety and emission standards compared to the ones for our use in the United States. Also, to make a point. There is a Mercedes Benz plant here in Alabama. Do you think the German people were screaming about Helmut Josef Michael Kohl in forums when Mercedes built a plant in the United States?

Amazing taxpayers spend all that money keeping them afloat and they do this… If Obama was any kind of ‘fair’ he would ridicule this move like he does against everyone he HASN’T given our money too…

Why are we upset that an American company is expanding in a foreign market? Isn’t that a good thing? These are dealerships, not manufacturing plants.

These are DEALERS selling cars to the Chinese, not manufacturing plants, we’re talking about. That’s not necessarily a bad thing…unless they’re building the cars there, too. The best scenario is to build the cars here and sell them all over the world, including China. Probably not what’s happening, though.

These dealerships will be selling cars and trucks built in Chinese GM factories by Non-UAW Chinese labor. The Profits will come back to a UAW controlled GM and be donated to the Obama re-election campaign. IF they were selling USA built GM cars, that would be a good thing! Unfortunately, these are Chinese sourced products, made with Chinese labor and materials. This is good for GM, only as far as the profits that are returned to the GM USA coffers. I cannot say that I blame GM for expanding, China is one of the few “Growth” markets in the world. They darned sure cannot sell many more cars in the USA.

The sad part is Obama will be taking credit for creating new jobs, not mentioning however they were actually created in China.

Think it was said that Germans weren’t upset over Benz being built here. Well since it didn’t result in a German Benz plant closing OF COURSE they didn’t get upset.
Not to worry though. Chinese infrastructure isn’t there for such rapid growth. A Soviet scenario is in the making with China. It may just take a while to get there.
This “President” will never create anything but laughable excuses for not doing the job elected to do.

Take a look at the automaker Audi and their production operations in China.

In 2010 Audio did an assessment of their manufacturing operations in China. They realized (HHHmm, there are more Audi’s on the road in China, then ever ordered or built by Audi in China.
HHhhhmmm? How could that be???

The reason is because ALL foreign businesses opened in China are REQUIRED to have a Chinese JV partner. AND that JV partner MUST be the controlling stock holder.

Audi’s Chinese JV partner, AFTER Audi spent the hundreds of millions to bring in to China the Audi manufacturing plant operations and equipment, the designs for the cars, their parts and the designs to manufacture and assemble the cars, Audi’s Chinese JV partner duplicated and built an underground facility (outside of the scope of their agreement with Audi)and built counterfeit Audi vehicles. They pressured local dealers to buy 1:4 ratio of Real:Fake Audi’s, and they sold more of the Chinese built Audi’s cars than the actual partnered Audi plant.

If you really think that GM will actually turn a profit from the China market, and bring that profit back to the USofA, you have no clue as to how China actually operates.

Again, if this administration is re-elected, we really are a nation of fools.
