Maybe he’s there to pull out troops out from this war Bush started. It would be the wise thing to do, bring back out young men and women over there. Don’t we have jobs here for them? Can’t we use that military to guard our borders, airports and ports? I can’t understand why Republicans choose this kind of behavior or more importantly why the American voters elect Republicans in the first place.

We need to get out of Afghanistan. The Afghanis will fight until all foreigners leave their country – with good reason. The Afghanis will unite among themselves long before they agree to have foreigners influencing their country. However, no doubt many in Afghanistan will be happy to receive all the billions of dollars they can from the US government, and then fight for us to leave their country. We don’t need to be there, unless our goal is to continue to feed the defense budget of the USA. It certainly isn’t my goal, nor should it be anyone’s.

I remain perplexed. “We’re fighting them over there so they won’t come here”, we’re continually reminded. Recently drone patrols over our souther border were discontinued alledgedly due to lack of funds. Before that a wall was promised, but never built to spec nor even completed. The excuse for that was they (illegal immigrants) will find a way over, under or through the fence because they’re so determined to enter the US. Inquiring minds (as opposed to a society of dumbed down citizens) would like to know why blood and treasure are being expended in Afghanistan to keep terrorists out when there are simpler, cheaper methods available. Given the fact that we put a man on the moon decades ago, securing our southern border today should be a very simple task. The reasons given to date for our being in Afghanistan are perplexing. Might it be because war is so profitable and politically advantageous for certain people?

Imagine yourself an american soldier in the group listening to Obama,s “canned” speech while considering that this is the man who has just rammed an unpopular healthcare bill down the throat of the American public while staying as far away from the country’s unemployment problems and mention of the Afghanistan war at the same time. It would make you tend to think that this was just another of Obama’s military photo ops that are in essence a backhanded slap in the face of the troops rather than a salute. The truth is that Obama views the American military as a tool…a personal tool.

I feel so sorry for those poor troops having to plaster a smile on their face for the sake of Obamao’s photo op. What a freak! He doesn’t even know how to dress for the occasion.

We need jobs, Mr. Obama. Do you need to see shanty towns and tents springing up all around the country before you focus on this country’s domestic needs? Just because Wall Street is doing well does not mean the rest of us are. So very sorry I voted for you. You are either a very confused man, a narcissist or a willing puppet of a cabal that seeks further enrichment and power. Whatever the case, I fear greatly for the future of this country.

The article says:

“Obama returned to Bagram, appearing in a bomber jacket, and delivering a speech to troops just before midnight, telling them he was confident they would have success in their mission.”

“I want you to know … whether you are working here on Bagram or patrolling a village down in Helmand … your services are absolutely necessary, absolutely essential to America’s safety and security,” he told the troops.

“He met the commander of U.S. and NATO troops, Army General Stanley McChrystal, and the U.S. ambassador, Karl Eikenberry, before taking off on Air Force One without seeing daylight.”

Haven’t we heard all of this before? For those of you who really still think that Obama and Bush are any different, just substitute the names in this story. You’ll see that it is indeed the same exact story.

I love the comments on this page, its great to see that people are waking up to Obama and his say this, do that ways. Lack of transparency, lack of corruption, uses reconciliation to pass major healthcare overhauls, and blames republicans, who represent half of the american people as being obstructionist. what a liar we have in the white house.

At the end of the day, you need go out there and find a job on your own – the president cannot find a job for you or solve all other problems that exist in your life. You all need to stop blaming others for your own incompetencies. Take a look at the mirror before anything else.
