2 complaints for every million diapers sold? Well, where do I officially make my complaint?! After 3 weeks of trying everything (removing things from his diet, buying high-end, ultra-pricey rash cream, soaking him daily) I hear about the possible diaper connection. I switched to another brand today, and if my son’s rash (open bleeding sore, so painful he screams at every change) finally disappears after this step, I am done with Pampers. I don’t need Diaper Innovation…Just plain diapers are fine with me as long as they don’t cause pain to my baby!

Don’t get me started! we have been using Pampers since she was born (hospital) and we stuck with the brand ever since, our daughter is now 7 months old and finally fit into the new crusiers. no more than 5 days after we used them, a child whom never had diaper rash started getting horrible rashes right by her tush. We thought we had done something wrong, but she was still on a breast milk diet (this was about 5 months) we subsequently switched to the Huggies and the rashes disappeared like magic. We ordered our diapers from Diapers.com and explained to them the situation, apparently we aren’t the only ones who called to complain about the new Dry Max diapers.

My son now 3 months old was in the dry max diapers for a month and had a bloody raw behind the whole time. He never had a diaper rash with the pampers he came home from hospital in. Tired of trying everything to heal his bottom we switched to huggies. Less than 24 hours and he had a nice soft butt no blood all healed. Huggies has my business!!!!

I love the new Pampers. there has been no sign of diaper rash at all and they work overnight no problem. An easy 12 hours with no leaks.

My 2 yr old has had SEVERE diaper rash after using these diapers. I have always loved pampers cruisers and was interested in trying these new diapers but I will throw them all out if it could be the cause of her rash/burns. I couldn’t understand why it was so bad but then got a call from my parents about some of these claims. It started out as blistering then became a bad rash and now has some rash on the back of her legs where the diaper touches. Maybe they don’t feel it is a problem but it may just be an issue for kids with sensitive skin. They should do a better study before they dismiss claims of problems.

12 Hours with no leaks?! That is crazy. Who would leave there child in the same diaper for 12 hours? You wouldn’t wear a sack of urine around your waste for 12 hours – why would you even attempt it with a child.

Our almost 14 month old has had 2 diaper rashes ever and both were because of antibiotics for and ear infection. We had him in these newly designed Dry Max for 5 days and he has the worst diaper rash with blisters the size of a 1/4 inch. So if there is no product problem, but we changer to another manufacture 2 days ago and things are clearing up quickly now. What’s the cause?! Take the only thing that has changed away and that leaves you looking at P&G newly designed product and asking did you do field trials or was everything tested in a lab in a controlled environment? O’yah they also leak 2 times in that 5 day stretch! P&G do the right thing and up the plug until you know what is happening, because if you don’t you want get any more of my money!

I feel incredibly lucky that my son has had no rashes from the change. I do believe every person being affected from this change and pray for every child who has been affected. I picked pampers in the beginning soley because their diapers were softer and better. I honestly don’t like the change just because of the new feel of the diapers. I will honestly probably try another brand. I don’t want to support a company who is so worried about protecting themselves that they will let any young child or infant suffer, even if they are “2 of every million” customers. Its sad.

My newborn grandson got alot of pampers at his baby shower, after wear one, and only 1, he developed boil looking sores in his diaper area within an hour!! If not for the info from other mothers we never woud of guessed it was the diaper! Luckily we immediatedly removed the pamper diaper, it didn’t take long for his sores to heal, but he shold of never had to go thru this! I returned 11 packages back to store and exchanged them for another brand and no he is 4 weeks old and has had no more boil/rash issues! Will NEVER trust his little bumm to proctor and gamble products again!

I do have to defend the 12-hours in diapers. The baby may be sleeping through the night, and 12-hours is feasible. I am the first comment at the top, and just wanted to add that Pampers/P&G is being despicable by calling these claims false, and not getting the word out. I know how bad my sons rash got, even with endless effort on my part. Other babies are going through this, and because P&G is staying hush about it, Parents don’t know what the cause is, and are continuing to put their babies in these harmfl diapers. I know a large company has lawyers advising them, but doubtless here are many parents out there fighting this rash that have no idea to try switching diapers. It did not occur to my husband or I until 3 weeks of bleeding, crying, screaming diaper changes. I hope my son experiences the quick results others have posted about now that we switched. And this morning, my son had peed thorugh his diaper and pajamas, but I will take that every day over open oozing wounds!

this is the reason we switched to a natural disposable diaper…the inside of the diaper is 100% natural but still fits like pampers. i buy them here…

I have twin daughters … one has a terrible rash on her bottom, with lots of red pimples, some with yellow heads. The other is perfectly smooth. We use Pampers Easy Ups, and have been about a year. Only in the last month has this nasty rash appeared. Did they put this dry max stuff in the Easy Ups too?

It would be worth checking in to, Gretchgo. From what I have read, they have revised most of their diapers to include this new DryMax system.

Not enough complaints, they say? Where can I lodge a complaint then?? We thought my daughter was allergic to something I was eating, then to her formula, then we just didn’t know. The diaper rash she had looked like someone set her on a hot pan – blisters, broken skin, etc. This happened shortly after we started a new pack of diapers, and came on so sudden there’s no way we could have prevented it from getting as bad as it did. I didn’t attribute it to the diapers at the time, but it went away after we switched to the sensitive diapers (without the DryMax) and came back when I was on the road and only had the DryMax diapers with me.

Call 1-800-PAMPERS on Monday, Kemiley. I did today, and they took my complaint down. It has been 24-hours since a diaper switch, and my son is finally showing signs of healing.

I have been a loyal pampers customer for over 5 years now. That said, my daughter who is almost two has recently developed an uncontrollable itch/rash. Ever since we purchased the new dry max diapers, she started to pull her diaper off and complain about her “pee-pee”. At first we thought she was showing signs of potty training, but once the itch and rash started to show we starting having our doubts. Today I had to rush home because my husband called in a panic that my daughter was crying uncontrollably and had taken off her diaper again, only this time is was full of blood! We later saw the story on the news and it all made sense! She has always been a baby who has had very few diaper rashes in her life, even though she does have very sensitive skin. So maybe it does just affect those children with sensitive skin, but I just don’t understand how they can dismiss such an obvious/valid claim. She hates dirty diapers, and if you don’t change her within a few minuets of her wetting or soiling her diaper, she’ll pull it off herself. So don’t tell me it’s because she sits in a wet/dirty diaper! In addition to that, the diapers do leak! Every night!

We have used Pampers since day 1. He was wearing preemie size diapers and Pampers and Huggies were all I could find. I tried the Huggies and he just leaked out of them like crazy. With the Pampers we never had a problem. Also, we never experienced any diaper rash with Pampers. I started using the DryMax diapers even before they were released to stores. I got a free sample in the mail. They worked great so I started buying them when they were available. My son is 2 and just over the last couple of days he has started to develop a splotchy red, raised rash over his lower abdomen, his groin area, the lower area of his butt, and on the upper backside of his legs. I have never seen anything like it. I am going to try and switch to Huggies to see if the rash will go away. I am kinda sad about it, though. I really liked Pampers and my son likes his “Elmo” diapers more than the “Pooh Bear” diapers that Huggies has.

It’s unbelievable that P&G is denying that the chemicals in their diapers could POSSIBLY be hurting these babies. I’m so sad for the little ones. Hopefully they’ll find some chemical-free reusable cloth diapers and be able to heal! http://whatawaste.info/2010/less-waste-through-more-chemicals/
