Current should consider a new travel show to boost ratings and viewers,how about something like this, Al Gore hosts “The Sex Crazed Poodle Travel Show,” Al will travel around the globe looking for the world’s greenest “masseuse” that only uses green/renewable lubricants, and the show will end on an positive note, I guess we could say it will be an happy ending.

Don’t the alarming sexual assault charges from Portland Oregon alarm anyone else? I’ve always felt that Al Gore was unbalanced and suffered from megalomania but his proclivity toward violence and his misogynistic tendencies are really frightening and sad. I think he is just really scary, and it just makes me very very sad.

I have been a loyal observer of conservation thanks to Al Gore, as soon as I knew it was his station I either changed it or shut the TV off. I have honestly not used 1KW of power on this station.

On Verizon FiOS, Current TV is right there next to CCTV (Communist China TV). I once watched it for two minutes, then couldn’t take it anymore. If that and the Bridges Channel went out of business, then maybe we’d get more Nationals Baseball in HD, rather than these nothing stations in the mid-200s that you couldn’t find if you wanted to. RFD TV’s tractor auctions are more interesting.

All of this global warming stuff has proven to be a total fraud from start to finish. Gore is an expert on scamming but he is a total moron when it comes to meteorology. Global warming was indeed just a short term cycle which was due to an abundance of sunspots which resulted in a marked increase in solar output which resulted in pronounced warming across the planet in the 80s and 90s. Sunspots have been notable for their absence over the past dozen or so years and now we have pronounced cooling thanks to reduced solar output. Indeed science and politicians mix about as well as oil and water!! Indeed junk science paves the paths to riches for crooked politicians!

Back to the issue of Current TV. Didn’t he “win” an Emmy for this thing? Something about “creating a new form of interactivity for television” or something. Actually, it was the liberal Academy giving another liberal a makeshift award.

However, their current (no pun) lineup of comedy shows are pretty funny: Infomania, Rotten Tomatoes, and the [just recently cancelled?] SuperNews. But I see that most of their programming is re-packaging of segments from these shows: Half-hours of “Viral Video Film School” or “Target Women” (even if Sarah Haskins appears not to be there anymore) or “RT” collections.

One thing I dislike is that any channel that tried to be “niche” just ends up becomming main-stream: Spike looks like G4 which looks like TBS/TNT which looks like TruTV which looks like MTV….

That said, all this shakedown in cable TV would get fixed if “ala carte” cable is implemented, where you get to choose which channels you want, instead of getting “tiers” or “bundles” of many channels that you may not want, just to get one or two you do want.

Just one more reason I do not own a T.V.
