Obama is being criticized for mushrooming the federal government payroll because he did. It is up to 24% of GDP now in just
three years’ time!
Everyone who even stuffed one envelope at his campaign offices was given a job for the fed. Half of Hollywood’s actors are now on the payroll, too.
Well, now, he wants to arrange “his folks” and he wants to do it HIS way, forget what Congress says. He wants Congress
—in a DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY–to just say, “Go ahead. Tell us your rearrangement and then we’ll say yes or no. No, we don’t need
any discussion on the matter. You just go ahead and make a plan.”
Obama is crazy to ask for this! (and other news stories are saying it is more than just trade! Reuters is underreporting here.)

Yes, there needs to be governmental reform.
But NO it isn’t a one-man project.
So, kick your feet all you want, Obama, in your
tenter tantrum….you were elected a DEMOCRATIC
PRESIDENT and not a RULER/Dictator.

Don’t think that the J. Q. Public doesn’t see what you are up to. We aren’t so stupid to believe that Congress is all bad when
they turn you down flat with, “No, we’d like to maintain
this country as a democracy and retain the PEOPLE’S power to discuss and arrange the government as they see fit—not just you.”

And this proposition is even a little scary, in the light of
CFPB! What if ALL Obama’s arranging was like creating the
CFPB? My goodness….the whole of U.S. government would be
tipped to communism, as the CFPB already is!

If Obama wants to really work for a change….why doesn’t he
try working the democratic way and then he’ll get something done.

I question whether the missions of the various agencies are compatible enough to carry on the missions after a merger. It is not so much if the agencies are all about commerce but what their missions are that matter.

To limapie who wrote “Obama is being criticized for mushrooming the federal government payroll because he did. It is up to 24% of GDP now in just three years’ time!”

This claim just gave me my second laugh of the day. How about doing some fact checking before you make these outlandish claims.

Hey limapie- educate yourself: “…the President will call on Congress to reinstate the authority that past Presidents had, over decades, to reorganize the government. With the exception of President Ford, every President from Herbert Hoover to Ronald Reagan had reorganization authority. Presidents had this sort of authority for almost the entire period from 1932 through 1984.Unlike the authority granted in the past, the President’s proposal would initiate new accountability by mandating that any plan must consolidate government – reducing the number of agencies or saving taxpayer dollars.”

Is there truly anyone in Washington who believes Mr. Obama is making this consolidation proposal to save money and increase efficiency?
We all know, don’t we, that this is another power grab, by a man who has established a long record of grabbing power, appointing “czars”, and bullying private enterprise.
Wake up Republican leadership. This is the man who blatantly, refuses to open the jobs door to the pipeline from Canada, while giving lip service to creating more jobs, even as his policies destroy this great country.

So what they’re pretty much saying is poor Obama, he can’t get anything done because Congress is stonewalling him. One, that’s why they are there, so prevent one person from having all the power. And two, where was all this ‘initiative’ in the past three years? The man hasn’t done anything for this country except force through a healthcare bill that nobody wanted and get his face all over talk shows and other media outlets. The only thing he’s actually been trying to get done is campaigning for a second term since the day he took the oath of office.
