Am I seeing this correctly? Iraq is predominantly Shiite, but was ruled by the minority Sunni under Hussein. While Syria is predominantly Sunni ruled by the shiite minority?
This makes me wonder if the two sects move around to try and create political majority. I am not sure how this condition could arise otherwise.

So Hamas now realized who butters its toast!

And it is a lot more than butter. A Gaza passport is up for $10,000 direct, from the leader’s desk, no middleman.

Now the self-acknowledged Muslim Brothers organization is taking off the fig leaf. May be they think that the two-state solution has been fulfilled? It can’t be.

The latest we hear is that Gaza will join Egypt and the West Bank Israel, and that Israel will be taking over All Territories Class C, (60% of the West Bank) by an act of Parliament.

Could it be that Hamas will be heading for the Negev? Qatar and the Saudi family are financing a fast rail service connecting it Israel’s north. If so, light clothing is recommended and, yes, don’t take a brolly – it doesn’t rain there.

Hamas is a fable. This is its end. It always tottered about in a state of unstable equilibrium!

This is a game changer. Ultimately Israel has been able to do what the Imperialists did for centuries “Divide & Rule”, Always Works, Always !

So, for those moronic posters that have tried to convince people that the Syrian uprising was a Western backed insurgency… I guess now Hamas has become a supporter of US imperialistic policy???

@ BC, Hamas thanked the Syrian people and the arab league, They didn’t thank the west (in all fairness our UN vote was worthless).

It be intresting to see if Hamas will keep up there stance against Assad (Taliban have made 180s in the past), and how this will effect there relationship with isreal.

Hamas claimed they had a million martyers marching to syria, is that actually true, or they just tooting their horn?

@BCerentano: Hamas = Muslim Brotherhood. Their move is extremely and terrifyingly logical.

In complete contrast to your comment…
