Thai Aeon sets 2 bln baht coupon ranges

BANGKOK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Thai retail finance firm Aeon Thana Sinsap AEON.BK has set coupon ranges for its two-tranche bond issue worth 2 billion baht ($59 million), two fund managers said on Friday.

A two-year tranche, worth 1 billion baht, offered a coupon range of 4.51-4.63 percent, and another 1 billion baht of four-year bonds carried a coupon range of 5.12-5.24 percent, the fund managers familiar with the deal told Reuters.

Final coupons for the bonds, offered to institutional and wealthy private investors, would be decided on Monday, they said.

The two-year issue would be guaranteed by Japan's Mizuho Corporate Bank, and the four-year bonds would be guaranteed by Mizuho and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), they added.

Benchmark two-year government bonds were yielding 4.00 percent in the secondary market at 0915 GMT, and four-year bonds were yielding 4.40 percent.

The bonds are underwritten by Tisco Securities TISC.BK.

AEON, a unit of Japan's Aeon Credit Service (8570.T), operates credit card, leasing and personal loan businesses and competes with Krungthai Card KTC.BK and unlisted Easy Buy PCL.

AEON shares last traded at 32.25 baht on Thursday. At 0910 GMT, the overall stock market .SETI was up 0.24 percent.
