Thai Hot Stocks-Bangkok Bank down, Thaicom up

BANGKOK, July 9 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock index .SETI was up 0.05 percent at 576.13 at 0452 GMT on Thursday.
Stocks on the move included:
BANGKOK BANK BBL.BK DOWN ON WEAK Q2 EARNINGS
Top lender fell 1.5 percent to a two-week low of 101 baht on expectation that the bank would report weak second-quarter earnings later this month.
Kim Eng Securities said in a note it expected Bangkok Bank to report an 8.8 percent fall in net profit for the April-June quarter due to falling loan growth and lower net interest income.

THAICOM THCOM.BK UP ON OPTIMISM OVER INDIA MARKET
Shares in satellite operator rose 4.4 percent to a 10-month high of 5.95 baht on speculation the company would launch new services via its broadband satellite IPSTAR in India in the third quarter.

TELECOM FIRMS RISE ON HOPES OF BETTER PROFITS IN H2
Shares in top mobile phone operator Advanced Info Service ADVA.BK rose 2.45 percent to 93.25 baht, having hit 94.50 baht its highest since June 2008.
Number two Total Access Communication DTAC.BK climbed 1.5 percent to a one-week high of 34 baht, third-ranked True Corp TRUE.BK edged up 1.9 percent to 2.16 baht.
Brokers said the companies' earnings should hit bottom in the second quarter of this year and expect their profitability to be back to normal in the second half. The issue of licences for third-generation mobile services early next year should also generate revenue.
