UPDATE 1-Home Diagnostics gets approval for blood glucose meter

BANGALORE, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Home Diagnostics Inc (HDIX.O), said it received approval from U.S. health regulators for its blood glucose meter, TRUE2go, and for TRUEresult, its no-coding meter for at-home testing.
The manufacturer of diabetes testing supplies said the products will be available in the fourth quarter.
The company is not disclosing any revenue impact at this time and stands by its fiscal 2008 outlook that it reaffirmed earlier this month, company spokeswoman Sabrina Rios said.
For 2008, Home Diagnostics expects earnings of 50 cents to 52 cents a share, on revenue of $124 million to $127 million.
Analysts on average expect a profit of 51 cents a share before items, and revenue of $126.5 million for the year, according to Reuters Estimates.
