UPDATE 1-Allot Communications sees '07 rev below previous view
(Recasts, adds share movement)
Oct 9 (Reuters) - Allot Communications Ltd (ALLT.O) cut its revenue outlook for 2007, citing lower sales and longer-than-anticipated sales cycles for its recently launched broadband optimization platform.
Shares of the Israeli software maker company were trading down about 14 percent at $5.80 in late electronic trade after closing at $6.74 Tuesday on the Nasdaq.
Allot expects sales of $32 million to $35 million for the year, down from its prior view of about $40 million.
The company had in June launched Service Gateway, a platform that helps broadband providers build secure networks.
For 2007, analysts on average were expecting revenue of $38.6 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
The company expects third-quarter revenue of about $7 million against analysts' estimate of $9.7 million.
Allot said third-quarter sales were affected by delays in customer buying decisions due to growing interest in Service Gateway. (Reporting by Avishek Mishra in Bangalore)
