SOLAMERE CAPITAL

Lee Scott, former chief executive at Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N), has joined Solamere Capital as an operating partner and a member of the investment committee.

Scott will help the private equity firm evaluate investment opportunities and will play a key role in contributing to the growth of its portfolio companies, the firm said. [ID:nWNAB3860]

EAGLEPOINT ADVISORS LLC

The turnaround, restructuring and crisis-management firm focused on middle-market retail and consumer goods sectors was launched on Tuesday.

The firm will be headed by David Chamberlain, former chief executive of Genesco Inc (GCO.N); Peter Harris, former chief executive of FAO Schwarz; and Joe Alouf, former head of Prudential's financial restructuring group.

CLOSE BROTHERS CORPORATE FINANCE HOLDINGS LTD

Close Brothers Corporate Finance Holdings Ltd (Close Brothers Corporate Finance), an independent corporate finance business in Europe, said that Stephen Aulsebrook, currently chief executive of company's European business and CEO of the British business, will now exclusively be CEO of the European business. Richard Madden, managing director and head of the media sector team has been appointed CEO of the UK business. Richard joined the company in 2005, from Bear Stearns.

LAZARD (LAZ.N)

Investment bank Lazard's (LAZ.N) board may pick more than one person to lead the company following the death of Chief Executive Bruce Wasserstein, the New York Post said. [ID:nBNG464294]

TLG CAPITAL

TLG Capital, a Frontier Markets entity aiming to deploy intelligent capital with ethical considerations, said it has appointed Jamel Larbi from Merrill Lynch and Shaheryar Mian from Hewitt Associates. Larbi and Mian will report directly to Zain Latif, Principal of TLG Capital.

NOBLE

Noble, the research-led independent investment bank, is pleased to announce the appointments of Harry Stockdale as Associate Director and Chris Connors as Manager in the Corporate Finance division. Harry joined from Ambrian Partners and Chris joined from Arbuthnot Securities, London.
