BARCLAYS (BARC.L)
Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, hired several analysts in its Latin American equity research team.
Henrique Caldeira was appointed assistant vice president and senior research analyst to cover non-bank financial companies. Prior to that, he worked at Credit Suisse.
Leonardo Correa was also appointed assistant vice president and senior research analyst to cover Latin American metals and mining companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Correa worked at Credit Suisse.
Felipe Mattar joined Barclays Capital as director and senior research analyst for coverage of Latin American utility and oil companies. He joined with his team of Sergio Conti, vice president, and Bruno Pascon, assistant vice president, from Citi Investment Research.
Michel Morin was appointed director and senior research analyst for the Latin American telecommunications and media sectors. He joined Barclays Capital from Merrill Lynch.
FBR CAPITAL MARKETS (FBCM.O)
The company hired three bankers to expand its investment banking unit.
Robert Hallett joined the firm's Energy & Natural Resources group to oversee the Houston office, while Joseph Giacobbe joined the Diversified Industrials group in Arlington, and David Grove joined the Technology, Media & Telecom group in San Francisco.
Prior to that, Hallett worked at RBC Capital Markets. Giacobbe and Grove worked at Banc of America Securities.
FISERV (FISV.O)
The financial services company appointed Maryann Goebel as executive vice president and chief information officer.
Prior to that, Goebel worked as executive vice president and chief investment officer of DHL Express in Bonn, Germany.
She will report to Chief Executive Jeffery Yabuki. Continued...
