* Many smaller automakers are gaining a bigger share of the American market, most notably Hyundai Motor (005380.KS) and Kia Motors (000270.KS).

* Len Blavatnik, the Russian-American investor, plans to file a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N) on Monday that accuses the bank of mismanaging an investment account that held $1 billion in assets owned by his industrial holding company, Access Industries.

* Two titans of the global mining industry, Xstrata Plc (XTA.L) and Anglo American Plc (AAL.L), said Sunday that they had begun talks that could lead to a merger.

* Satyam Computer Services Ltd (SATY.BO) said on Sunday it would rebrand itself as Mahindra Satyam, its latest step in efforts to recover from India's worst corporate fraud scandal.

* Recognizing that the online encyclopedia Wikipedia is increasingly used by the public as a news source, Google News began this month to include Wikipedia among the stable of publications it trawls to create the site.

* With more subscribers than ever flocking to its DVD-by-mail service, Netflix Inc (NFLX.O) is one of the few companies prospering during the worst recession in 70 years. But another upstart called Redbox has emerged to give the company a run for its business.

* T-Mobile's follow-up to the first "Google phone" will go on sale in early August, the carrier is set to announce Monday.
