Feb 23 (Reuters) - USANA Health Sciences Inc (USNA.O), a nutritional and personal care products maker, said it would restate results for certain prior periods, starting 2006, to account for two income tax-related errors, sending its shares down as much as 8 percent.

The company, which said in a regulatory filing it would restate 2007 and 2008 quarterly results, and the annual results for 2006 and 2007, added that 2006 profit would be reduced by 4 cents a share and 2007 profit by a cent, following the restatement.

USANA shares were down $1.38 at $20.29 in afternoon trade on Nasdaq. They touched a low of $20.07 earlier in the session. (Reporting by Vidya L Nathan in Bangalore; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
