MOELIS & CO.
Moelis & Co announced on Wednesday that Roger Hoit has joined the firm as a managing director, focusing on advisory services to financial sponsors.
Hoit was previously a managing director in the global financial sponsors group at Morgan Stanley.
SKADDEN, ARPS, SLATE, MEAGHER & FLOM
The law firm said on Wednesday that Michael Scudder has joined its Chicago office as a litigation partner.
Scudder was a White House legal adviser in the George W. Bush administration, where he advised the president, National Security Council and senior administration officials on defense, intelligence, legislative and litigation matters.
MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
The bank named Robert Kindler as its global head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), succeeding Gavin MacDonald, who died in December.
MACATAWA BANK CORP (MCBC.O)
The bank holding company said Chief Executive and founder Benj. A Smith III resigned, but will continue to serve as director of the holding company and the bank.
Robert DenHerder, currently a director, has stepped into the role of chairman, and President Phillip Koning and Ronald Haan, executive vice president, will share the newly created post of office of the chief executive, the company said.
LASALLE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
The fund management arm of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL.N) named David Edwards as fund president of the company's Asia Property Fund.
