Feb 18 (Reuters) - Gentiva Health Services Inc (GTIV.O) reported fourth-quarter results that topped analysts expectations, helped by lower expenses, and raised its 2009 outlook.

The company, which provides home healthcare services, said its home health segment saw a 20 percent growth in revenue during the fourth quarter.

Revenue of its other related services segment, which includes hospice, respiratory therapy and home medical equipment, infusion therapy and consulting, rose 11 percent.

Shares of the company were up 3 percent in pre-market trade Wednesday, after closing at $26.82 Tuesday on Nasdaq.
