July 9 (Reuters) - Medical technology firm Advanced Medical Solutions Group Plc (AMSU.L) said on Thursday it signed a deal with Stryker Corp (SYK.N) for the global marketing and distribution of its LiquiBand wound closure products for use in cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) surgeries.

The company said product launches in the European market would begin this month, followed by a phased roll out in the rest of the world.

"As a leader in this surgical speciality, they are an ideal partner to create and develop this market for our products," Advanced Medical Chief Executive Don Evans said of Stryker, a U.S.-based medical device maker.

LiquiBand is a single use tissue adhesive used to close trauma and minor surgical wounds.

Advanced Medical shares were trading up 5 percent at 26.75 pence at 0727 GMT on the London Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Ramkumar in Bangalore; Editing by Anne Pallivathuckal)
