Feb 4 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 21000 GMT on Monday.

** Amgen Inc (AMGN.O) will sell drug rights to Japan's Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (4502.T) for up to $1.2 billion in a deal that will bring in cash for the restructuring U.S. biotech firm and broaden Takeda's pipeline.

** Yahoo Inc (YHOO.O) would consider a business alliance with Google Inc (GOOG.O) as one way to rebuff a $44.6 billion takeover proposal by Microsoft, a source familiar with Yahoo's strategy said on Sunday. [nN04132294]
** British industrial investor Melrose Plc (NYN.L) said it had approached FKI Plc FKI.L about a possible takeover that values the engineer at around 412 million pounds ($811 million). [nL04478729]

** Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) said it has struck a deal with Chile's Grupo Altas Cumbres to acquire its banking units in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, although terms of the agreement were not disclosed. [nWNA8792]
