O'MELVENY & MYERS LPP
The law firm said Sherri Snelson, an acquisition finance lawyer, will be joining its London office as a partner and member of the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Practice.
Snelson most recently was a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in London.
SOCIETE GENERALE (SOGN.PA)
The French bank said it has hired investment banker Thierry d'Argent from Wall Street rival JP Morgan (JPM.N) as part of a plan to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions team. [ID:nLI344977]
BARCLAYS CAPITAL (BARC.L)
The investment bank has appointed Timothy Last managing director, head of equity derivatives flow sales, non-Japan Asia. He will be based in Hong Kong. Last was most recently with Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong, where he was head of equity derivatives sales in Asia-Pacific.
STANDARD CHARTERED BANK (STAN.L)
The bank has appointed Tee Choon Hong managing director, regional head of capital markets for North-East Asia. He is based in Hong Kong and will report to Christian Wait, global head of capital markets. He spent 10 years with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong as managing director.
CHARLEMAGNE CAPITAL
The equity investment management group appointed Michael Russell head of private equity, property, based in London with immediate effect. Russell, who takes over day-to-day responsibilities from David Curl, joins from Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance, where he was a national director in the private equity team operating a number of non-discretionary private investor property funds.
KINGSWAY FINANCIAL SERVICES (KFS.TO) (KFS.N)
Canadian property and casualty insurer Kingsway Financial Services Inc (KFS.TO) (KFS.N) said Chief Financial Officer Shelly Gobin left the company. [ID:nBNG491088]
