UPDATE 1-Mobile Mini Q3 profit rises; '08 view below estimates
* Q3 profits up 14 percent
* Gives 2008 outlook below analysts' estimates
Nov 3 (Reuters) - Mobile Mini Inc (MINI.O), a provider of portable storage containers, posted a 14 percent rise in quarterly profit but forecast full-year results below analysts' expectations.
The company said its revenue growth for the latest third quarter was almost entirely attributable to the merger with Mobile Storage Group in June.
The economic slowdown in the United States and the U.K. has hurt non-residential construction activity, especially new construction, the company said in a statement.
The company said it cut jobs and started selected price increases as a part of its cost-reduction actions.
Shares of the company closed down 5 percent at $16.01 Monday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Amulya Nagaraj in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
